What is Wellness?

Not Just the Absence of Illness.

Wellness is not just the absence of illness, but a state of optimal well-being and quality of life composed of physical, mental, and spiritual health. It is an intricate balance of nutrition, exercise, sleep, relaxation, work, play, and fellowship that leads one in a purposeful direction toward maximizing individual happiness and ability to cope with adversity in a constructive way. Wellness should coincide with contentment.
